Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!!
Gina Seebachen and I will be running the Westland School Store again this
year and we are always looking for volunteers. We will have some new and
fresh merchandise coming soon and we know the incoming 6th and 7th graders
will be excited to see the store which is located right in the cafeteria.
Gina and I are hoping that we can sign up some of our great past volunteers
to work with us again this year. As far as incoming families, it is a great
way to see what goes on in the lunch room and take a peek at your child.
The school store will be open on Mon, Wed and Friday of every week (on early
dismissal days the school store will remain closed). The hours are
approximately 10:30am to 1:15pm and you could work alone, but we have found
business to be so good that teaming up is the better option. Therefore, the
more volunteers we get, the better.

The important thing is that the designated volunteer show up as scheduled
or call or email me with any last minute emergency changes. Last year, I
was very aware of how much the kids counted on the consistency of the school
store being opened when we told them it would be.

Please let me know if you are interested to work this year - in your email
you can tell me what days work best for you and leave me all your contact
information. What I did last year is schedule volunteers to work one day
every other week or so (more often if you would like, of course). Being
available for the whole time slot works best and makes scheduling easier.
